Princess Juliana International Airport
The international terminal of the island of Sint Maarten (the Dutch part of the island of St. Martin, in the Caribbean), operates with international flights to various points in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Panama, France and the Netherlands and is located 15 km (9 miles) northwest of the city of Philipsburg. It is the third airport with the highest number of annual passengers in the Caribbean. Its attractiveness is due to the fact that large passenger airplanes fly just 25 meters above the Maho beach. It has a bank, ATMs, VIP room and Wi-Fi access free of charge. It has restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food stores, as well as duty-free shops, clothing, souvenirs, jewelry, accessories, perfumes, cosmetics, books, alcoholic beverages, both in the public area and in the boarding area . Ground transportation is done through different tour bus operators or by taxi rental.
