Located 24 km west of the central London area, it is the airport with the highest air traffic in the United Kingdom, the third with the highest air traffic in the world and one of the six international airports in the region. More than 90 airlines operate in it to more than 170 destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, South America and Oceania. It has two tracks and five passenger terminals. It has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, post office, VIP lounges, public telephones, mobile phone services, plugs for electrical devices, internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi access. On the first floor of Terminal 5 there is a business center with meeting rooms. Numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food stores are available throughout the grounds, as well as a wide variety of shops with duty-free items. The airport is connected to more than 500 local and national destinations through buses, trains, subways or taxis.
