Keflavík International Airport
Also known as Reykjavik-Keflavík airport and located near the town of Keflavík, 50 km (31 miles) southwest of Reykjavík, it is the largest and most important in Iceland, concentrating all the country’s international flights. In addition to operating with the main cities in Europe, it also operates with destinations in the United States and Canada. It has few domestic flights, as these usually operate at Reykjavik airport (RKV). It has a terminal and two operational tracks. Its services include free WiFi, luggage storage, a children’s play area, duty-free shops on both levels, fast-food and traditional restaurants, as well as banking and currency exchange services. Airport Direct provides transportation to the city center and Hamraborg in Kópavogur, with departures based on flight schedules.
