Also known as Santiago-Pudahuel Airport, and located 17 km (11 miles) northwest of the city of Santiago, it serves the metropolitan area of the capital of Chile and the entire country. It concentrates the majority of domestic flights and operates with international destinations in America, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. It is considered one of the most modern in the world. Its two terminals, National and International, are open 24 hours a day and are connected to each other by elevators, corridors and stairs. It has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, public telephones, mobile phone services, post office, VIP lounges, plugs for electrical devices and free Wi-Fi access for 30-minute sessions. There are buses, minibuses, taxis and private companies such as Uber or Cabify that connect the Santiago airport with the urban area. Car rental can also be an option to get around the City.
